The United Arab Emirates has placed a visa ban on Nigerians.

On Friday, the United Arab Emirates Immigration authorities announced that Nigerian citizens looking for immigration into the country would be unapproved. This announcement was issued via a notice to its trade partners in Nigeria including travel agencies and of course the Nigerian authorities. The notice reads in part, “All Dubai applications submitted are now rejected. It is general for Nigerians and approvals are on hold at the moment. Kindly advise your clients to resubmit C2=A0 applications when the issue is resolved between both governments.” Although the reason behind the Arab nation’s decision remains ambiguous, UAE authorities disclosed that the rift between it and the Nigerian government needs to be addressed before its decision is revised. Prophet Jeremiah Sets Up Relief Camps For Flood Victims In Niger Delta, Supports Financially

   In an effort to mitigate their suffering as a result of the ravaging flood in some parts of the country, the founder, Mercy Land Deliverance Ministry Warri Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin through his foundation. Father allegedly beats his 2-month-old son with hanger in Imo for disturbing his sleep, breaks the baby's arm leading to amputation

The National Human Right Commission (NHRC) and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Imo State chapter have called on the Imo State Government and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately arrest and prosecute one Mr Confidence Amatobi, for allegedly assaulting his 2-month-old baby, Miracle. Mr Amatobi was said to have assaulted little Miracle with a plastic hanger and broke the baby's arm for disturbing his sleep. The incident led to the amputation of the fractured arm at the Pediatrics ward of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owerri. NAWOJ, NHRC and the aggrieved mother of baby Miracle, made the call for justice in Owerri the Imo State Capital. Eight Persons Killed As Flood Washes Pythons, Dangerous Sea Reptiles Into Niger Delta Communities

  Devastating floods have continueo ravage Niger Delta communities, sweeping pythons and other reptiles into the areas – a development which has heightened panic among residents. Residents now scamper for safety for fear of being killed, Vanguard was told. The ravaging flood which has cut off parts of the East-West Road has continued to wreak havoc in communities along the bank of the River Niger. The flood had swept away at least eight residents as well as destroyed crops and houses worth millions of naira in the state. Meanwhile, some travellers on the East-West Road have been stranded as others resort to use of canoes to cross over to the other side to board vehicles to continue their journeys. While lamenting that the flood has overwhelmed one part of the Ughelli-Patani axis of the East-West Road, he said, “Trucks conveying relief materials to that axis have been trapped.
